a place for life-long learners!

Our mission is to activate the learning journeys of our community through our K-12 school programs.

The KC Sudbury School sets children free to learn through self-paced exploration, purpose discovery, and engagement in an opportunity-rich learning center.

We provide an educational environment that fosters the natural joy of learning within a participatory democracy.

Our goals:

  1. Create a restorative model of K-12 education with a community culture that is anti-racist, trauma-informed, and rooted in equity-based economics.

  2. Nurture and protect a healing centered environment for life-long self-determined learning for children from 4 to 18 years old in the Greater Kansas City area.

  3. Create pathways and curate spaces for learning that fosters self-empowerment for all people.

Kansas City Sudbury School does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school; and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity and sexual orientation in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
